Abstract

The article explains the essence of hermeneutic approach to school philological education. The model of key components of competency building among students is discussed, including understanding as an essential element. The article analyses pedagogical research exploring the potential of hermeneutics as a learning tool. It argues the need for developing methodologies and tools of estimating metadisciplinary learning results from the perspective of using hermeneutic approach in school education
