ADOLESCENTS' VALUE ORIENTATIONS IN AN EDUCATIONAL CONTEXT

In the article empirical data focused on the problem of the formation of value systems of adolescents (8th -10th graders) from two Russian regions distinguished by the ethnocultural component are presented. The research focus are adolescents’ value orientations. The purpose and significance of the study lie in the comparative analysis of the value system of adolescents as the precondition of their attitude to education, including lifelong learning, in two Russian regions. The data obtained confirm the assumption that there are differences in the value systems of adolescents from two Russian regions distinguished by the ethnocultural component, which can affect both their attitude to education and their motivation for lifelong learningPublished
