Abstract

In this work the technology of augmented reality (AR) and its application in the educational process of higher education institution is considered. The article gives a definition of the AR technology, describes its advantages and the existing challenges as to its application in the educational process. The review of the platforms for the development of AR applications and their functionality is given, The article also examines the expediency and efficiency of the AR application in the educational process of higher education institution
