Abstract

The article analyzes the origin, development and formation of the identity problem, the tradition of studying this phenomenon in philosophy, psychology and sociology from the standpoint of foreign and domestic research traditions. It is emphasized that identity is not a state, but a process of internal stabilization of one's self in the context of a changing reality. The main problems of adolescent identity in the context of sociocultural and political transformations in contemporary social space are considered
