Abstract

Nowadays due to the shift to the new educational standards teaching profession-oriented language requires creating new teaching aids and textbooks. The article describes the development of textbook on English for students doing master’s course at power university. Based on the integration of contextual and activity approaches the authors have selected the material and developed tasks for the textbook. The content of the textbook, principles of material and task selection for teaching English to students doing master’s in electrical engineering
