Abstract

The purpose of the present article is to identify and analyze the specifics of an accompanist-pianist activity. The author attempts to comparatively analyze these two performing styles and establish the distinguishing criteria for accompanist-pianist and chamber-pianist performances. The author considers the functioning of these two kinds of ensemble techniques in the context of occupational activity with a view to applying the obtained results for further in-depth study of the ways of teaching the art of accompaniment at the middle and higher levels of professional music learning at specialized music education organizations
