This article describes the features of the selection and minimizing vocabulary for non-philologist students (artists and musicians). Considered within the thematic classification of vocabulary on the topic «Russian Art». The author presents the basic teaching technique with the vocabulary within a computerized course in Russian as a foreign language for students of non-philologists
