P.P. MAKSIMOVICH: CLARIFY SOME BIOGRAPHICAL FACTS

Abstract

The article discusses the question of the exact date and place of birth of the public figure, the founder of the Tver women's teacher school of Pavel Pavlovich Maksimovich. It is found that in the sources there is great divergence in the indication of the birth year from 1814 to 1818, and place of birth: fortress Konstantinogorskaya Caucasian province or Astrakhan. Found that the records in the register book has not survived, but the analysis of several archival sources leads to the conclusion, that the most reliable date of birth is 26 Nov 1816, and the birth place of the fortress Konstantinogorskaya. The article also provides some biographical information about the parent family of P.P. Maksimovich
