Abstract

Main objects of consideration of the article were phases of children’s reading with regard to the history of (Russia’s) pedagogy. Essential character of children’s reading is being provided. The article makes notes about children’s reading activity organization in regard to the well known writers of XVIII-XIX centuries such as: Novikov N.I., Belinsky V.G., Chernishevsky N.G., Dobrolubov N.A. etc. The foreground concept of XX century «a child and a book» was considered in the study
