Abstract

One of the most critical courses in higher education is first. Students acquire new skills, learn new ways of cognitive activity. An important factor of the educational management process of adaptation to new conditions is control. In the example of teaching the students of the first course of higher mathematics shows that successful adaptation of students to new kind of activity it is necessary to pay due attention to all types of control, using different forms at different stages of learning. In the first few weeks are especially relevant disciplinary requirements, and with the development of cognitive competence of students more and more attention must be given to independent work and self-control
