Abstract

The twofold essence of innovations in education is studied, positive and negative sides of modern transformations in secondary and tertiary school implemented from the top-down is considered using concrete examples. The positive role of pre-school education inclusion in new Education Act as necessary part of the whole system is pointed out. The destructive influence of education’s liberal constituent reduction in the process of specialists’ training is shown. The historical examples of lecturers’ state in Tsarist Russia in comparison with their work’s devaluation in modern society are given
