Abstract

We considered the psychological characteristics of women’s sexuality in adulthood. We analyzed the reasons for the formation of a significant attitude to sex in women’s life in the socio-cultural context. We discussed results of research occurrence of women’s sexual satisfaction within interpersonal relationships, the individual characteristics of women and their partners, as well as their existing attitudes on sexual relations. Special attention is given to the phenomenon of congruence of women’s expectations from their partners of their actual behavior as factors of sexual satisfaction. We described the psychological factors that reduce chances of formation psychosexual disorders in couples
