Abstract

The paper examines new procedure of expert evaluation adopted for school textbooks and defines the role of expert evaluation in assessment of their compliance with Federal State Standards of Education. The paper is supported by ten years of experience the author has in expert evaluation of textbooks under the auspices of Federal expert council and in authoring textbooks approved for use in general comprehensive schools
