Abstract

The article is devoted to the analysis of the main search of the ideal school teacher. The main sources of the analysis are the books and theories of I. F. Gerbart, G. Spencer, E. Key, M. Montessori, Janusz Korczak, and C. Rogers. In the article it is clearly observed such traits of the ideal teacher as acquisition of pedagogical theory, the development of child’s individuality, the ability to think and find the decisions of difficult problems independently, moral education, love and respect to children. Problems and handicaps, which school teachers face, are indicated in the article.
