Abstract

This article discusses the actual meaning of parents’ activity phenomena, when bringing up a child with a mental disability, which exists due to necessity of complex psychological support of such families. The author conducts comparative analysis of destructive, adaptive, above-event behavior of parents. She also reveals a dialectical relationship between selected types of activity. Adaptive mechanisms of families with a mentally disabled child, are considered in the context of “reflected subjectivity”.
