Abstract

The article depicts Russian experience of genesis and then of implementation of a system of basic Ideas for Russian Orthodox parochial parish school education during the period of the second half of the XIXth century and in pre-Revolutionary years of the XXth century. Opposite views on the role of parochial parish schools in peasants Enlightenment / education have been reassessed in the Article. A number of course programs for school disciplines, constituting the content and purport of parochial parish school education have been analyzed
