The article is devoted to research of the artistic taste. The author analyzes normative documents that determine the tasks on the development of the schoolchildren’s artistic taste and formulates a working definition of artistic taste, singles out its components. The problem of developing an educational program for the development of the artistic taste of junior schoolchildren in the conditions of extracurricular activities is actualized
