Abstract

The article proves the role of short-term educational programs in the educational process of a higher educational institution in the aspect of promoting the Russian language and culture for foreign students. The essence of the impact of the implementation of these programs in the format of summer language schools on the creation of multicultural competencies and value orientations of foreign students is revealed. It is shown that summer schools organized by Russian higher educational institutions are aimed at not only preparing foreign students for education and life in the Russian educational space, but also can develop in foreign students interest in the study of the Russian language, in the comprehension of Russian culture and the values of the Russian world through the organization of educational, creative, information-effective and cultural-leisure activities
