Abstract

The article considers the issue of the correlation between the model and competence approaches in the formation process of pupils` mathematics activity. The article presents the stages of the formation of pupils` activity on the research of processes, phenomena whose mathematics model is a quadratic (equation). A scheme of model-equation research is revealed in the competence formation process. The article analyzes one of the methodic patterns of competence formation in mathematics.
