Vol. 74 No. 4 (2025): Herald of Tver State University. Series: Philosophy

Issue No. 4 (74) 2025 publishes articles by researchers dedicated to the philosophical analysis of the framework of being, the nature of creativity, the demarcation of scientific knowledge, as well as various aspects of identity, new rituals, and historical-philosophical heritage.

The section "Man, Science, Culture" considers the quasi-equilibrium framework of being and its limits, the model of productive expanding syntheses in the nature of creativity, a systemic approach to the demarcation of scientific knowledge, and a qualitative approach to the integrity of knowledge. The authors analyze the preservation and improvement of the human body, psychological security of an individual, lines of ethnic consciousness analysis, foreign policy factors in youth values transformation, patronage in civil society, the humanistic paradigm of university education, and the role of classical tradition. The papers also investigate social consolidation of Russian society, countering spiritual and moral threats, intercivilizational dialogue in Bishop Porphyry’s legacy, semiotics of Soviet wedding, and the otherworldly in pre-war cinema (articles by N.N. The section "Problems of Russian Philosophy" focuses on the formation and development of the domestic philosophical and logical tradition in theological educational institutions (16th – early 18th centuries), the reception of Torquato Tasso’s Renaissance tradition in Russian historical consciousness, artistic culture within K.D. Kavelin's and V.V. Rozanov's reflection, G.P. Phedotov’s philosophy of culture, and the old novelty of postmodernity (articles by V.A. Inozemtsev, V.Y. Ivlev, M.L. Ivleva, A.A. Guseva, Е.Е. Mikhailova, М.G. Аndreanov, I.O. Maslennikov).

In the section "Philosophy Abroad: Past and Present," the authors turn to the anonymous "Treatise on the Eucharist" in the context of medieval book culture, the dialectic of challenge and response in A.J. Toynbee's concept of the genesis of civilizations, Nietzschean motives for a civilizational approach regarding history rethinking, and A. Lovejoy’s history of ideas concerning the theory of human nature in the American constitution (articles by A.V. Simonian, D.M. Krainov, V.O. Sheleketa, Yu.V. Burtovaya, V.T. Faritov, T.V. Borisova, T.G. Stotskaya, V.P. Potamskaya).
